Jets among teams to vote against Thursday night flex scheduling

Flexible scheduling looks to be coming to Thursday nights in the NFL. Don’t thank the Jets for that, though.

According to Peter King of NBC Sports, the Jets were among eight teams that voted against the move to expand flexible scheduling to Thursday nights between Weeks 14 and 17. 2023 also begins flex scheduling for Monday nights as well.

King mentions the Giants, Packers, Bears and Saints as also having voted against the motion. The final tally was 22-8 with two teams abstaining from the vote. The motion needed 24 votes to pass at the owners’ meetings. There will be another meeting in May where the owners will vote again.
