Jason McCourty goes on epic rant before announcing Titans’ 3rd-round pick

Jason McCourty had quite the moment before announcing the Titans’ third-round pick in the 2023 NFL draft.

Former Tennessee Titans defensive back Jason McCourty was tasked with announcing the team’s 2023 third-round pick (No. 81 overall) on Friday night, but the “Good Morning Football” host added a lot extra to his role.

McCourty ended up going on an epic rant that not only went after the host city’s team, the Kansas City Chiefs, he also repped the Titans by going after the entire AFC South, while also staking the Titans’ claim to Oilers history.

Admittedly, McCourty’s rant went on a bit too long, making it awkward, but I can let it slide when he’s throwing shade at the Chiefs and the division in the process. Check out the rant in full below.

McCourty didn’t have the attention of Titans fans for long, as he went on to announce the selection of running back Tyjae Spears, which was a puzzling pick to say the least and rightly drew quite the negative reaction from fans and media alike, including from our own Shaun Calderon.

Putting that aside for now, a look at how Twitter reacted to McCourty’s moment.
