A familiar face almost returned to the Seattle Seahawks this year. During the offseason, the Seahawks parted ways with safety Jamal Adams after several years of injuries and limited production. Adams found his way to the Music City and signed with the Tennessee Titans. However, his stint in Nashville did not last long, and after hardly being utilized, Adams requested his release from the team and found his way to the Detroit Lions.
What is interesting is his journey could have led him back to the Seahawks. Adams confirmed there was in fact an offer from Seattle, but he was unsure if that was the right move to return.

The Seahawks reportedly wanted Adams to switch positions to linebacker, which was confirmed by Adams himself. The former All-Pro safety had no interest in doing so, and another attempt at a reunion was dashed. It would be interesting to know if Seattle was still attempting to see if he would switch to linebacker, especially since the team had issues at the position before upgrading to Ernest Jones IV and rookie Tyrice Knight.
Adams has played in two games for the Lions this year, and has combined for three total tackles.
