The Jacksonville Jaguars will be looking to end a three-game losing streak this Sunday, but will have to do so against arguably the most talented team on their schedule. That team, of course, is the Los Angeles Rams, who also have found themselves trying to end a three-game losing streak.
When looking at both teams, they both have some hurdles to clear in terms of injuries as the Rams ruled running back Darrell Henderson, offensive lineman Rob Havenstein, and receiver Odell Beckham questionable. That’s concerning for an offense that’s already struggling to get in sync and will be playing a Jags defense that has shown up against some respectable teams.
As for the Jags, they will be without their top cornerback in Shaquill Griffin, who is still trying to return from a Week 11 concussion. They also ruled their top offensive player, James Robinson, questionable with heel and knee injuries. With the Jags already limited on weapons, the absence of Robinson could make it hard for the offense to get going and that could lead to another unwanted blowout on the West Coast.
Jacksonville’s best chance to win would be with Robinson obviously. However, even if he can play, they will need some others to step up on the offensive side (like Marvin Jones or James O’Shaughnessy perhaps) to help rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence. They will also need a lights-out performance from their defense and an off day by Stafford. If all of those things can happen, they may be in position to pull off the upset when the clock hits 0:00.
