Jacksonville Jaguars place franchise tag on OT Cam Robinson

Cam Robinson gets franchise tagged by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Former Alabama offensive lineman Cam Robinson was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars No. 34 overall in the 2017 NFL Draft. Now, shortly before he was supposed to become an unrestricted free agent, the Jaguars placed the franchise tag on him.

The franchise tag will keep Robinson in Jacksonville for the 2022 season.

Robinson is a crucial part of a group dedicated to protecting the franchise’s 2021 first overall draft pick, quarterback Trevor Lawrence. The offensive line, however, underperformed last season, and the team is now reportedly considering drafting another Alabama offensive tackled, Evan Neal, with the No. 1 overall pick again in this year’s draft.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to cover Cam Robinson and other former Alabama players in the NFL.
