There was no drama for the Nebraska Cornhuskers at the start of the early signing period.

There was no drama for the Nebraska Cornhuskers at the start of the early signing period. Five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola signed in the early morning hours on Wednesday.

The legacy prospect is now the highest-ranked recruit for Nebraska in the modern era. Raiola also has a strong personal connection with the Cornhuskers. His father, Dominic Raiola, played at Nebraska from 1998 to 2000 and was the first Rimington Trophy winner.

His uncle Donovan is Nebraska’s offensive line coach. The 6-foot-2.5, 230-pound quarterback was also previously committed to Ohio State during his recruitment before flipping to Georgia earlier this year.

Raiola threw for over 2,800 yards this past season and had a touchdown-to-interception ratio of 34-to-1 for Buford High School in Georgia. He passed for 8,442 yards and 88 touchdowns for his career while throwing just 11 interceptions.
