Is Texas DB Jahdae Barron the most underrated Longhorn?

Jahdae Barron has been exceptional this year.

Jahdae Barron has been an exceptional defensive piece for this dominant Texas Longhorns team. The senior defensive back posted a 91.6 coverage grade according to PFF in Week 3, which led all Power Five safeties.

With 17 total tackles and an interception this season, Barron is showing his true safety skills in being able to cover while also being physical enough to bring down players.

When speaking with the media this week, Barron said this about the Texas’ ability to put the game on ice.

Head coach Steve Sarkisian also said that Barron is the glue on the defense with his talent to tie the front and back end together. Sark also said that Jahdae has one of the higher football IQ’s on the team.

Barron is one of the most underrated players on this talented Texas team and has a shot to keep putting his name out there before the end of the year if he continues this trajectory.
