Is it time to break up Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown?

Or have recent roadbumps brought the ‘split-up-the-jays’ discourse back to life needlessly?

Once, a young, promising duo of Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant seemed like the pair to beat as they propelled the Oklahoma City Thunder to the NBA Finals. But the Thunder could not get over the hump to win it all until Westbrook and Durant were on the rosters of separate ball clubs.

Are the Boston Celtics of today led by star forwards Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown cut from the same cloth as that pair of stars was on their first team in the league? Or can the Celtics find success with some moves around the margins of the team?

For the eponymous host of the “Herd with Colin Cowherd” show, it is time to end the experiment, pointing to the greater success enjoyed by Durant and Westbrook than they had together on the Thunder.

Take a look at the clip embedded above to see if yoy agree with his take.
