West Virginia is 9-13 against the spread (ATS) this season, including 2-8 ATS over its last 10 outings. G Taz Sherman, the Mountaineers’ leading scorer (18.9 points per game), missed the Texas Tech game (concussion protocol), didn’t practice Sunday and is uncertain for this contest.
Iowa State is 13-10 ATS this season and 4-6 in Big 12 play. West Virginia is the only team worse in Big 12 play ATS at 2-7.

West Virginia head coach Bob Huggins said that he hadn’t checked on Sherman’s status by Monday’s afternoon media session. That doesn’t seem like it’ll bode well for the star guard.
If that’s the case, G Sean McNeil (13.5 PPG) and F Jalen Bridges (9.0 PPG) will be tasked with leading West Virginia. If that’s the case, it’ll be tough for the Mountaineers to break their losing streak.
Despite Iowa State’s struggles on the road, it has marquee wins over now-No. 20 Texas and Texas Tech. The Cyclones are the more proven team and worth backing to win.
