Well, once again, it was a roller coaster game for the Chicago Bears as nothing was going right. Throughout most of the game, the offense struggled and the defense couldn’t stop the Falcons offense. But the Falcons did what they did best: they blew another lead.
Even though the Bears couldn’t get anything going, the big news coming from the game was Nick Foles entered the game in the third quarter to replace Mitchell Trubisky. The replacement came after a Trubisky interception in Falcons territory. Then the game changed.
Trubisky finished 13-for-21 for 128 yards, but when Foles entered the game he drove the Bears down the field and threw an interception in the endzone. But, believe it not, the Bears would flip the script.
Foles would lead the Bears offense to 20 unanswered points in the fourth quarter and the Bears defense shut down the Falcons as they go onto stay undefeated. Foles would finish the game 16-of-29 with 188 yards and three touchdowns.
This likely will end the Trubisky era in Chicago as Foles has full control of the starting quarterback job. Foles and the Bears will now have to get ready for an AFC matchup with the Indianapolis Colts.
