Indiana at Purdue: Three things to know
- Indiana has lost four straight and five of its past six games. Over those six games, the Hoosiers are shooting just 30.3% from behind the arc and are being outrebounded 33.8-30.0 on average.
- Purdue is flying under the radar in an otherwise stacked Big Ten as winners of four in a row, five of its past six and seven of 10 games (7-3 ATS). The Boilermakers are being led by All-America candidate PF Trevion Williams who has the top rebounding rate in the conference and is 5th in Player Efficiency Rating.
- The recent head-to-head history has been one-sided with Purdue winning eight straight and nine of the last 10 games (7-2-1 ATS). The Boilermakers pummeled the Hoosiers 81-69 as 4-point road underdogs in the first meeting of the season.

Money line (ML)
PASS on the money line since Purdue is the right side, but no way can we lay -350 for a Boilermakers’ straight-up win in a conference game against an in-state rival.

Against the spread (ATS)
Leading Indiana scorer and star sophomore forward Trayce Jackson-Davis hasn’t received much help on the offensive side of the ball this season and two of the Hoosiers’ other top-3 scorers are listed as questionable.
Also, Williams wrecked Indiana’s interior defense while putting up 22 points with 10 rebounds in the first contest, and I see Williams having similar success in this game as well.
Purdue has a plus-6.1 rebound margin per game while Indiana is minus-3.3 in rebound margin and the Hoosiers having to over-adjust for their weakness on the boards will help the Boilermakers get some wide-open jumpers.

Over/Under (O/U)
PASS with a lean on the Over 134.5 (-115) since my read is Purdue’s offense gets whatever it wants against Indiana’s defense and the market seemingly prefers the Over.
Because I don’t have a strong feel for the total, the Over/Under has alternated in the last four meetings and both teams play at a slow tempo, I have to PASS on the total.
