Indiana is coming off a Wednesday home loss to Rutgers 66-63. The Hoosiers likely have played themselves out of an NCAA Tournament bid as they’re just 2-6 since the beginning of February.
IU upset Purdue 68-65 in Bloomington Jan. 20. The victory marked the Hoosiers’ first over the Boilermakers since 2016, snapping Purdue’s 9-game win streak in the series.
The Boilermakers are coming off back-to-back road losses. Purdue was undone by turnovers in losses at No. 25 Michigan State (68-65 Feb. 26) and No. 10 Wisconsin (70-67 Tuesday). Purdue fumbled a combined 26 turnovers against just 15 for the Spartans and Badgers. Between the loss to IU and the twin setbacks to MSU and UW, the Boilermakers had won nine of 10.
