A Nebraska-Omaha basketball standout will take an unofficial visit with the Cornhuskers on Thursday. Frankie Fidler declared for the NBA draft on March 20 but is maintaining his college eligibility through the portal.
The Bellevue, Nebraska native played for the Mavericks for three seasons, appearing in 93 games. This season, Fiddler started in 33 games and averaged 20.1 points per game, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.3 assists.
The Mavs finished the season with a 15-18 record, ending in the second round of the Summit League Tournament. Nebraska is not the only school interested in the prospect’s services; earlier in the week, Fidler visited Creighton.
