After knocking off the Patriots in the wild-card round, the Titans defeated the Ravens 28-12 in Baltimore. The Titans defense set the tone with an interception by Keith Byard. Jonnu Smith hauled in a spectacular catch shortly thereafter to give Tennessee an early 7-0  lead and its 10th straight touchdown on red zone drives. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill completed seven of 14 passes for 88 yards and two touchdowns, in addition to one rushing touchdown on the ground. Speaking of rushing, Derrick Henry went next level for the third straight week, running for 195 yards and two scores against a tough Ravens defense. Henry also passed for a touchdown. The running back had 188 yards and two touchdowns in the first meeting between the Chiefs and Titans. Henry’s ability to wear down opposing defenses and keep the Kansas City offense off the field will be the keys to the team’s success.

Down 20-0, it looked like the Texans would be marching onto the AFC Championship game. Not so fast though. The Chiefs have reigning NFL MVP in Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes completed 23 of 35 passes for 321 yards and a season-high five touchdowns. Tight end Travis Kelce reeled in three of those touchdowns on 10 catches for a total of 134 yards. Running back Damien Williams didn’t have a slew of yards rushing (47), but he did pick up two scores on the ground and one receiving. It’s no secret what Kansas City will do offensively. Can Logan Ryan and Rashaan Evans put pressure on Mahomes? How will Keith Byard and the rest of the secondary perform against Kelce and the speed of wideouts Tyreek Hill and Sammy Watkins? Those will be matchups to watch on Sunday afternoon.
