Ohio State is finally looking like a team that we expected to see at the beginning of the season. I know, I know. Tulane, Akron, and Rutgers are hardly a suitable measuring stick for a team with national championship aspirations, but at least the Buckeyes did exactly what they were supposed to do in the last two weeks.
While we still may not know if the defense has totally fixed its woes, one thing we know for sure is this offense is elite. C.J. Stroud looked like a different quarterback after resting a sore shoulder against Akron. TreVeyon Henderson has been even better than advertised. And Ohio State still has the best receiving unit in the country. The Bucks can score with anyone.
Now Maryland comes to town who just got torched to the tune of 51 points against an Iowa team that won’t be confused with an offensive juggernaut. Yes, the Hawkeye defense set the table with seven turnovers, but if Iowa can put up 51 there’s no telling how much the Buckeye offense might light up the scoreboard.
