No. 23 Texas is hoping to send several key seniors off on a high note with a win over Baylor on Friday.
The regular season finale for the two programs is still a meaningful game for Texas. If Steve Sarkisian’s squad pulls out the win, along with Kansas defeating Kansas State on Saturday night, then the Longhorns will have another shot at No. 4 TCU in the Big 12 Championship game.
Baylor is bowl eligible but realistically doesn’t have a shot of reaching the Big 12 championship game this season. However, the in-state foes will have plenty of motivation to spoil Texas’ chances. Dave Aranda’s team nearly defeated undefeated TCU last week but fell short in the final minute.
