No. 2 Tennessee will open its 2024 softball season on Thursday.
UT Arlington will host the Lady Vols at Allan Saxe Field in Arlington, Texas. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m. EST.
The season opener can be watched on ESPN+ and James Trietley will be on the call.
Tennessee leads the all time series versus UT Arlington, 2-0.
Karen Weekly enters her 23rd season as the Lady Vols’ head coach. Tennessee finished the 2023 campaign with a 51-10 record and won the Southeastern Conference regular-season and tournament championships. The Lady Vols also advanced to the College World Series last season.
Tennessee has six seniors on its 2024 team: Payton Gottshall, Giulia Koutsoyanopulos, Kiki Milloy, Zaida Puni, Rylie West and Ryleigh White.
