How Texas’ current, future running back room looks after Rueben Owens’ decommitment

After Rueben Owens’ decommitment, there are questions with Stan Drayton’s group. Here is the status of the current/future of UT’s RB room:

2022 season

Key RBs on roster: Jaydon Blue, Jonathon Brooks, Roschon Johnson, Bijan Robinson, Keilan Robinson, 2022 RB TBD

Much of the same is expected in 2022 as it was in 2021, but there will be two new freshmen on campus. Jaydon Blue has been in the class for over five months now, but Stan Drayton has continued to look for a second running back to take. A few names are under consideration, with Jamarion Miller and Tavorus Jones deemed the favorites.

With Daniel Young gone, the three main running backs would continue to be Bijan Robinson, Roschon Johnson, and Keilan Robinson. Bijan is expected to be a legitimate Heisman contender, while the thunder and lightning approach will continue from the latter two.
