(Hospital) Celtics at Bucks: Boston falls to Milwaukee in OT 131-125

The Boston Celtics needed more than the next man up against the Milwaukee Bucks with four starters out injured, and they got it — and nearly the win, too.

The Boston Celtics needed more than the next man up against the Milwaukee Bucks with four starters out injured, and they got it with another well-rounded game from almost entirely bench players with Marcus Smart, Al Horford, Jayson Tatum, and Jaylen Brown all sitting the contest out.

It would not prove quite enough to beat the Bucks, Boston falling in overtime 131-125 despite six players putting up double figures. Big games from Derrick White (27 points, 12 assists), Mike Muscala (18 points, 8 rebounds), Sam Hauser (15 points, 9 boards), and Blake Griffin (15 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists) among the starters. Malcolm Brogdon added another 26 points off of the bench.

Let’s take a look at some of the best plays captured in images from the Celtics’ game No. 57 of their 2022-23 campaign.
