‘Hollywood’ Brown leaves Chiefs debut with shoulder injury

Chiefs WR Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown was injured during Kansas City’s preseason matchup against the Jaguars on Saturday night.

The Kansas City Chiefs may be without wide receiver Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown against the Jacksonville Jaguars after he sustained a shoulder injury in the first quarter of Saturday night’s matchup of AFC hopefuls.

Brown, who joined the Chiefs as a key free agent addition in the 2024 offseason, is expected to be a major contributor to Andy Reid’s offense during his first season in Kansas City and has looked like a star during training camp in St. Joseph.

Though the extent of his injury on Saturday night wasn’t announced by the Chiefs, the team gave fans an update on Brown’s status, listing him as questionable to return.

Kansas City’s starters were only expected to play during the first frame of this matchup, so it seems likely that Brown will remain on the sideline for the remainder of the game, even if he feels well enough to play.

Stay tuned to see if his status changes before the fourth-quarter whistle.
