Here’s why Taylor Swift might not be at Week 18’s Chiefs-Chargers game

We might not see the pop icon at the Chiefs game on Sunday.

Singer-songwriter Taylor Swift has become a mainstay at Chiefs games this season after the 12-time Grammy winner started dating Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce this summer. She’s been at games — both home and away — during her winter break from her record-breaking Eras Tour, but we may not see her for Week 18.

The Chiefs are hitting the road to close out the regular season, playing the Chargers in Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon. But there’s another event on Sunday in L.A. that might draw Swift from the SoFi suite: The Golden Globes.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, the theatrical release of her ongoing tour, is nominated in the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement category.

Seeing as the Chiefs have already locked up first in the division and there’s a chance that Kelce won’t even play on Sunday, the chances are probably high that she hits the red carpet instead of the game.
