The Sooners’ home opener versus Western Carolina will be broadcast on pay-per-view. Here’s how to watch it.

Oklahoma has announced that its September 11th home opener versus Western Carolina will be broadcast on pay-per-view for $54.99. The game’s coverage will begin at 5:00 p.m. CT on the “Sooners Sports Game Day” pregame show, with kickoff scheduled for 6:00 p.m.

Confirmed providers include DirectTV, U-Verse, Cox, and Vyve, with more expected to be announced later.

Sling TV users, Dish Network customers, and owners of streaming devices may need to watch the broadcast on Soonersports.TV or directly through the Oklahoma Sooners app, as announced in Monday’s press release.

“Please Note: Providers NOT expected to carry the PPV game include DISH and Sling. If you are unsure whether your provider is carrying the game, please contact your provider directly. The game will also not be available on the Oklahoma Sooners Roku app due to Roku’s in-app purchasing requirements. The Oklahoma Sooners app is also not supported on the Amazon Fire TV Cube or Google Chromecast.”

The second-week matchup will be the first-ever meeting between the Sooners and WCU. The Catamounts will make their first appearance against a Big 12 program in 28 years since they opened the season with a 46-3 loss at Kansas in 1993.

Oklahoma’s first nationally televised game is on Saturday, September 18th, versus Nebraska as part of Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff. Kickoff is scheduled for 11:00 A.M on Fox.
