Former Alabama star wide receiver Henry Ruggs III and his new team, the Las Vegas Raiders, have come to terms on a rookie contract that will keep the Crimson Tide product with the team for for seasons with a fifth-year option.
According to NFL Network’s insider Ian Rapoport, Ruggs’ contract will consist of a guaranteed $16.67 million through four years with the teams option to add a fifth season.
While these contract details appear to be finalized, Rapoport reports that it will not be signed for a few days.
Ruggs was the first wide receiver to be selected in the 2020 NFL draft with the No. 12 overall pick by Las Vegas. His fellow college teammate and wide receiver, Jerry Jeudy was selected three picks later at No. 15 by the Denver Broncos.
