‘He keeps the guys together,’ Fadil Diggs, Trey Zuhn, and Bryce Anderson praise Conner Weigman, overall team performance after win vs. UL Monroe

Fadil Diggs, Trey Zuhn, and Bryce Anderson touted Conner Weigman and the overall bounce back performance in their Week 3 win over UL Monroe.

Texas A&M (2-1) routed UL Monroe (2-1) to the tune of 47-3 in their Week 3 matchup late Saturday afternoon. The blowout victory was just what the doctor ordered as the Aggies turn the page toward SEC play next weekend.

All eyes were on how this team would respond after suffering a humbling loss to Miami in Week 2. Granted, the Warhawks are far from a competitive opponent. And yet, a thorough victory in all three phases would be the type of jolt this team needs before heading into SEC play next weekend.

Suffice it to say they took last week’s loss personally, and UL Monroe was left to suffer the wrath. Quarterback Conner Weigman got the show going early with a scorching first-half performance to give the Aggies a lead they would never relinquish. Weigman would finish 25/29 for 337 yards, one passing touchdown, and one rushing touchdown on the day.

The level of play from Weigman once again drew praise from the likes of Fadil Diggs, Trey Zuhn, and Bryce Anderson, who each took the podium in the postgame. All three underscored the efficient performance in all facets of the game. Notably, they all agreed that this type of win was needed before welcoming Auburn to Kyle Field next Saturday to kick off SEC play.

Below are Diggs, Zuhn, and Anderson’s full UL Monroe postgame press conferences, as well as notable highlights from their time at the podium.
