‘Hard Knocks’ confirms Terrell Lewis tested positive for coronavirus

Former Alabama outside linebacker Terrell Lewis, now with the Rams, did in fact test positive for the coronavirus earlier this month.

The first episode of the latest season of HBO’s hit series “Hard Knocks” aired on Tuesday night, and it was confirmed that former Alabama outside linebacker Terrell Lewis did test positive for the coronavirus.

As Cameron DeSilva, a writer for The Rams Wire, pointed out, Lewis was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list early on during training camp with his new team after being drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft back in April.

There was questions about the meaning of that decision, as it’s a possibility that a player can be placed on the list for simply coming into contact with someone that has contracted the virus. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.

This is an important first season for Lewis, as the Rams could use more help from its exterior pass rush. With the former Crimson Tide standout battling injuries throughout his career, Lewis needs to be on the field early and often to play catch up — if possible.

We’re not entirely sure how long the 6-foot-5, 262-pound pass rusher will be on the list, but according to the story from DeSilva, Lewis is quoted as saying that he thinks they put him on “the 10-day (expletive).”
