Hannah Stuelke is bringing Hawkeye fans along for the ride during Iowa’s overseas trip.

As the Iowa Hawkeyes embark upon a three-game tour of Italy and Croatia, Stuelke is capturing the trip via her summer tour blog.

In her first installment as your summer tour guide, Stuelke details what she’s most looking forward to in Italy and Croatia. Oh, and one thing she’s not all that excited about:

There’s a lot to be excited about, but the thing I’m most excited for is the shopping. I’m going to be honest; I may have a little shopping addiction – okay, maybe it’s not so little, but I can’t help it. I just bought a really nice camera so I can take a lot of pics. I’ve always been interested in photography, and I’m ecstatic to start my photography journey.

If you don’t know me already, which most of you don’t know me so well YET, I also love to eat! I will eat anything or at least try everything once, so of course, I’m excited to try so many different foods. Just talking about this is making me hungry lol so I’ll move on. I can also tell you I am not excited for the zip lining we have planned, I’m terrified. I just don’t want to think about free falling over a forest. Don’t get me wrong, I will do it, but I will be screaming the entire time. – Stuelke, Hawkeye Sports.

It should be fun to follow what Stuelke has to say next as the Hawkeyes enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience across Italy and Croatia.

Iowa’s overseas tour starts in Naples, Italy, on Aug. 6 as they take on Team Slammers in what is an 11:30 a.m. CT tipoff.

Then, the Hawkeyes head to Croatia for two games. First up is a matchup with the Croatian Club team on Aug. 11 at noon CT in Split, Croatia. Finally, the Hawkeyes wrap up the trip with a game against the Croatian All-Stars on Aug. 13 at 1:30 p.m. CT in Dubrovnik, Croatia.

Stuelke figures to be a massive puzzle piece in this upcoming 2023-24 women’s basketball season for an Iowa team that advanced all the way to the national championship game last season.

The 6-foot-2, sophomore forward from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was the Big Ten Sixth Player of the Year last season. She scored a career-high 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds against Northwestern on Jan. 11.

Stuelke averaged 6.5 points and 3.9 rebounds per game in 12.9 minutes of average floor time per contest.
