Halmar Friesen Racing’s 2023 NASCAR Truck Series season in review

Halmar Friesen Racing had a down year in the NASCAR Truck Series. Here, you can check out the NASCAR team’s 2023 season in review!

[autotag]Halmar Friesen Racing[/autotag] had a disappointing 2023 NASCAR Truck Series season, and there is no way around that. Stewart Friesen didn’t win a race and failed to miss the playoffs for the first time since 2020. In fact, Friesen had his worst season statistically since starting his full-time campaigns in the Truck Series during the 2018 season.

The No. 62 truck didn’t compete during the 2023 season, so the driver of the No. 52 truck represented the only opportunity for success. Halmar Friesen Racing wasn’t up to its usual standards, which was surprising after a sixth-place finish in the point standings last year. Friesen came close to winning at Darlington Raceway in May but never got that close again.

In 2024, Friesen is expected to return to the No. 52 truck and Halmar Friesen Racing with a chip on his shoulder. The 40-year-old driver isn’t used to poor seasons, so seeing a Martin Truex Jr.-type turnaround next season wouldn’t be shocking. If so, Friesen will be a championship favorite, as he always runs well with good equipment.
