New York Giants wide receiver Golden Tate has an affinity for U.S. military members and he’s never been shy about that, establishing the Golden Future Foundation in 2014 to “provide much needed support to our American Heroes who have enriched our lives and protected our freedom.”
Now, facing a global coronavirus pandemic, Tate is once again stepping up with military members in mind.
On Monday, Tate announced via Twitter that he is seeking submissions from military families in need, promising to send out gift cards in an effort to reduce the burden for a select few.
My wife & I via our foundation the @GoldenFutureFDN, are hoping to provide some relief during these tough times for residents of our new @Giants home in NY/NJ who have fallen on hard times due to Covid-19. Please help me spread the word by RT'ing!! #COVID2019 #coronavirus pic.twitter.com/bpvUfYct6y

Tate asks that anyone looking to send in a submission do so through the Golden Future Foundation Twitter account, which officially opened their direct messages to the public on Monday afternoon.
We have just opened our DM’s for everyone to be able to message us. We are looking forward to hearing from you and hoping this small gesture can go a long way. Give us a couple days to respond please.

As a result of the coronavirus spread, the NFL and the New York Giants have postponed all offseason activities indefinitely.
