Giants sent four scouts to watch Drake Maye against Clemson

The New York Giants sent four scouts to Death Valley on Saturday to watch North Carolina QB Drake Maye against Clemson.

The New York Giants continued their intense scouting of the nation’s top quarterbacks over the weekend, sending four representatives to the North Carolina-Clemson game to watch quarterback Drake Maye.

The Giants were joined by scouts from the Washington Commanders, Atlanta Falcons, Miami Dolphins, New Orleans Saints, and Pittsburgh Steelers.

It’s unclear who the Giants sent to Death Valley but general manager Joe Schoen and assistant general manager Brandon Brown have been regular onlookers this year.

Those who were on hand watched as Maye completed just 16 of his 36 pass attempts for 209 yards, one touchdown, and one interception while adding 67 yards on 10 rushing attempts.

Clemson came out on top, dropping UNC, 31-20.

The Giants are widely believed to be on the hunt for a new quarterback one year after signing Daniel Jones to a four-year, $160 million deal.

In addition to UNC-Clemson, the Giants sent scouts to several other games but only one made it into the public spotlight.
