The New York Giants enjoyed a much-deserved bye in Week 11 following consecutive victories that propelled them back into the NFC East title race.

Currently, they are just a half-game back of the Philadelphia Eagles for the division lead and a victory over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday would put them in first place — at least temporarily.

Despite conditions improving for Big Blue, their standing in the latest USA TODAY power rankings did not. Although they were idle last week, the Giants dropped two spots from No. 23 overall to No. 25 overall.

25. Giants (23): DL Dexter Lawrence and Leonard Williams have become the foundation of a defense that is the primary reason this team might win the NFC East.

“Might win the NFC East.” Boy, 2020 sure is crazy.

Comparatively, the aforementioned Eagles fell three spots to No. 29 overall, while the Dallas Cowboys rose three spots to No. 28 overall and the Washington Football Team rose two spots to No. 27 overall.

All the way at the very bottom are the New York Jets, who seem both destined and determined to remain at No. 32 overall.

Unsurprisingly, the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers continue their stranglehold on the No. 1 overall position.
