Giants rookie Kayvon Thibodeaux leaves preseason game with knee injury

New York Giants rookie pass rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux went down with a scary knee injury in Sunday night’s preseason game

New York Giants first-round pick Kayvon Thibodeaux suffered an apparent knee injury during Sunday night’s preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

The injury occurred early in the second quarter, as Thibodeaux attempted to work through a cut block from Bengals tight end Thaddeus Moss. The rookie pass rusher waved off the injury cart before making his way to the medical tent, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The No. 5 overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft out of Oregon, Thibodeaux was widely regarded as perhaps the best player in the entire class.

Here’s hoping the injury isn’t serious, and that Thibodeaux will be back on the field for his rookie season.
