Giants injury report: Daniel Jones still not cleared for contact

New York Giants QB Daniel Jones was limited in practice on Wednesday and is not yet cleared for contact, while other key pieces returned.

The New York Giants were back on the practice field on Wednesday and all eyes were on quarterback Daniel Jones, who has missed the past two games with a neck injury.

Unfortunately for Jones and the Giants, his status has not changed. He was a limited participant in practice but is not yet cleared for contact.

“Same as he was last week,” head coach Brian Daboll told reporters. “He’ll do stuff in practice; non-contact. Getting better but the same.”

The Giants did receive good news elsewhere, welcoming back offensive linemen Andrew Thomas and John Michael Schmitz. Both players were limited in practice and have a chance to play on Sunday.

Defensive lineman Leonard Williams was given a veteran rest day.
