Giants’ Daniel Jones out vs. Bills: Tyrod Taylor revenge game coming soon

Tyrod Taylor’s revenge game is unexpectedly coming to Orchard Park.

New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll has ruled out starting quarterback Daniel Jones (neck) for Sunday’s Week 6 matchup against the Buffalo Bills (3-2).

That means the Giants (1-4) will go with Taylor under center.

Taylor notably was the Bills starting quarterback from 2015 to 2017. His final season in Buffalo was the year the team broke their near two-decade long playoff drought. It was also the first season Sean McDermott was the Bills’ head coach.

The contest will be the first time Taylor has played against Buffalo in his career. He previously has been on teams that have faced the Bills but because of various factors he has not played in those games.

Jones was initially injured in New York’s loss to the Miami Dolphins last week. Taylor was 9-for-12 passing for 86 yards in relief. The mobile QB added another 14 yards rushing.

The plot thickens for the Bills on Sunday Night Football again. Along with facing Daboll, formerly the team’s offensive coordinator, now it’s Taylor’s return too.
