Giants broadcast cut to fan hilariously chilling on boat while San Francisco cruised against Mets

“Is that a party of one? Yep.”

The Giants might not be baseball’s best team right now, but they’re in a good position. This time of year, there’s no need to stress with a 24-19 record. In fact, chilling out and relaxing should be encouraged.

That’s precisely what one fan did as San Francisco took on the Mets (+110) on Wednesday afternoon. While the Giants sat with a comfortable 9-1 cushion in the middle of the fifth inning, the NBC Sports Bay Area broadcast cut to McCovey Cove behind the right-field wall.

There they found a relaxed Giants fan on a boat who, if he was watching somewhere earlier, was clearly pleased with the game’s proceedings:

Now that’s how you take in your favorite team winning in a home blowout: On the water, in the back of their stadium, in the beaming sun, with your shoes off. What a party.

The Giants would, of course, hold onto their huge lead and go on to win, 9-3. We’re pretty confident this fan continues to relax somewhere — perhaps still on his boat.
