Signs are pointing toward the Buffalo Bills facing the New York Giants’ starting quarterback in Week 6.
The Bills (3-2) will host the Giants (1-4) next weekend on Sunday Night Football. An early update this week points toward the G-Men having their No. 1 QB available.
During the Giants’ 31-16 loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, Daniel Jones exited the contest due to a neck injury.
The upcoming matchup is set to highlight Brian Daboll’s return to Buffalo. The now head coach in New York was the Bills offensive coordinator prior to joining the Giants.
Daboll’s first update ahead of heading back to western New York included news on Jones.
Daboll said Jones is leaning toward being available to start against Buffalo.
“He doesn’t feel terrible today,” Daboll said.
Jones departed the Giants’ recent loss in the fourth quarter. Former Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor replaced him in the lineup and could be facing the Bills if Jones can’t go.
Taylor was also hurt against the Dolphins, however, Daboll said he just had the wind knocked out of him and is otherwise healthy.
Bills Wire will provide additional updates leading up to Week 6’s kickoff at Highmark Stadium when information is made available.
