The Georgia Bulldogs are in the running for 2021 4-star athlete Sage Ryan.
Ryan, out of Lafayette, Louisiana, is rated as the No. 3 athlete in his class and the No. 2 overall player in Louisiana.
He is considered the No. 39 overall prospect in America, according to 247Sports’ rankings.
On Monday, Ryan released a top-ten of: Georgia, Florida State, Auburn, TCU, Clemson, Ole Miss, Alabama, LSU, Tennessee and Michigan.
Here is an excerpt from 247Sports’ evaluation of Ryan:
Versatile, athletic football player with functional size that could translate to cornerback, safety, nickel, receiver, or even running back. Not overly tall, but possesses adequate height and encouraging bulk relative to position and age. Electric athlete with combine-verified athleticism (4.45 40, 4.37 shuttle, 36-inch vertical).
The recruiting service compared Ryan to former Michigan standout Jabrill Peppers.
LSU will be the team to beat for Ryan, whose cousin is former LSU running back Kevin Faulk and his uncle, Trev Faulk, is a former LSU linebacker, according to 247.
First off I would like to thank God. I’m very blessed to be in this situation and I will make the best out of this opportunity, thank you to all the schools who have recruited me throughout this journey… But with that being said I am announcing my top 10! pic.twitter.com/iZLrAsLZ2I
