Georgia football lands commitment from ATH Marcus Washington Jr.

The Georgia Bulldogs have landed a commitment from Marcus Washington Jr. out of Grovetown High School.

The Georgia Bulldogs have landed a commitment from Marcus Washington Jr., who is a member of the class of 2023.

Washington Jr. is currently an unranked defensive back recruit. Washington Jr. runs track in addition to football. He primarily plays cornerback and is a good student (3.2 GPA). Washington runs a fast 4.46 laser-timed 40-yard dash.

Washington Jr. is an in-state prospect that plays football for Grovetown High School. The 6-foot, 170 pound defensive back has scholarship offers from West Virginia, Oregon, UCF, Arkansas, NC State, FSU, and more.

Marcus Washington Jr. announced his commitment to the Georgia Bulldogs via his Twitter account:

The Georgia Bulldogs now have four commitments in the class of 2023. Kirby Smart and Georgia have the No. 1-ranked recruiting class in both 2022 and 2023.

His father, Marcus Washington, played linebacker at Georgia during the Mark Richt era from 2005-2009. Marcus Washington came to the University of Georgia as a four-star recruit from Burke County High School in Waynseboro, Georgia.

Marcus Washington recorded 64 total tackles over his career at Georgia. He played in 45 career games.
