Georgia basketball’s Toumani Camara enters transfer portal

Georgia Bulldogs basketball star Toumani Camara is the latest Dawg to enter into the NCAA transfer portal

Georgia Bulldogs basketball star Toumani Camara is the latest Dawg to enter into the NCAA transfer portal. Coach Tom Crean and the Georgia Bulldogs are reeling following another disappointing season.

Toumani Camara was arguably Georgia’s best player throughout the 2020-2021 basketball season. Camara scored 12.8 points per game and secured an average of 7.7 rebounds per game.

Camara, who is from Brussels, Belgium, helped Georgia go 14-12 last season. The Dawgs finished 7-11 in SEC conference action.

Georgia’s basketball program faces a critical season next year. Tom Crean’s seat is heating up and the Dawgs have a weak recruiting class that is rated No. 69 in the country.

Right now, things are not looking great for the basketball program. If several players transfer, then the Bulldogs may have to rebuild yet again.

The 6-8 sophomore forward’s pending transfer is a tough blow for a Georgia program that is struggling. The Bulldogs have not made the NCAA Tournament since the 2015 season.
