Gators setting up official visit with this DB target

Florida is set to host defensive back Kaylib Singleton on an official visit as the Gators continue to push for the in-state recruit.

Florida continues to push forward with the recruitment of Fleming Island (Florida) athlete [autotag]Kaylib Singleton[/autotag].

The Gators will host Singleton on an official visit on the weekend of May 31, according to Swamp247’s Blake Alderman, and there is hope that he can get to Gainesville earlier for a spring visit.

Although listed as an athlete by On3, the expectation is for Singleton to play cornerback or safety at the next level.

Florida’s former defensive backs coach, Corey Raymond, initially targeted Singleton. His replacement, former Los Angeles Chargers assistant Will  Harris, has assured the in-state recruit that the new staff members involved with the Orange and Blue want him just as bad.

Harris and Singleton met briefly in January during one of the team’s junior days. It was his first time on campus at Florida, so Singleton still has plenty to take in.

Singleton has placed the Gators among his top three programs when questioned, citing strong communication from the staff as the positive that stands out the most.

The 247Sports composite puts Singleton at No. 800 overall in the 2025 recruiting class. He’s also No. 69 among cornerbacks and No. 120 in the state of Florida.
