Garrison Brooks signs deal overseas

Former UNC Basketball forward Garrison Brooks has signed a new deal overseas.

Former North Carolina Tar Heels standout Garrison Brooks is continuing his professional career overseas. After a stint in the NBA Summer League in July, Brooks has made the decision to sign in South Korea.

Wonju DB Promy announced on Wednesday night that they have agreed to a deal with Brooks. The forward is set to play for his new team in the Korean Basketball League starting this year.

After four seasons at North Carolina, Brooks transferred to Mississippi State for his final year. He then spent a year with the Westchester Knicks of the NBA’s G-League, playing 22 games.

Brooks will look to help get DB Promy back to the playoffs after they missed out last season.

Despite not getting his chance in the NBA, Brooks is now looking to find his way overseas. The hope is that he can find success there and continue to get better.
