Texas extended an offer to four-star defensive tackle Kristopher Ross on Feb. 4.
Roughly a week later, Ross listed the Longhorns among his top four schools. Newly hired head coach Steve Sarkisian has garnered a significant amount of momentum in the 2022 class and has landed commitments from three other four-star athletes up to this point.
Baylor, Oklahoma, LSU, and Texas are the final four schools left in the running for Ross. The Houston native will announce his commitment on Friday, Feb. 19.

ESPN lists the 6-foot-3, 265-pound defensive tackle as a four-star prospect. It appears that his recruitment has picked up steam late in the process as LSU, Texas, and Oklahoma each offered Ross within the last two weeks.
Sarkisian hired several well-respected recruiters on his staff, but Jeff Banks and Bo Davis could be difference makers for this particular recruiting class. Ross is now among four other highly-touted prospects from the 2022 class that could announce their commitment to Texas in the coming weeks.
