Texas is still in the running for one of the top cornerbacks out of the 2022 recruiting class.
On Tuesday, Saint Louis native Isaac Thompson announced the top 10 schools that he will be focusing on throughout the remainder of his recruiting cycle.
Texas appeared on the short list alongside Florida, LSU, USC, Ole Miss, Penn State, Michigan, Missouri, Arkansas, and Georgetown.

He’s the No. 3 overall player in Missouri and the No. 18 cornerback in the nation, according to 247Sports. Thompson has been recruited by Jay Valai and received an offer from the Longhorns on May 21, one of the most recent offers to the 6-foot-1, 190-pound playmaker.
If Texas is able to get Thompson in for a visit following the pandemic, the four-star talent could become the fifth prospect landed out of Missouri in the Tom Herman recruiting era.
Including Thompson, the Longhorns have sent out 13 offers to cornerbacks in this particular recruiting class. However, three have already committed elsewhere.
