Former Vikings QB Nate Stanley files an injury grievance

Former Hawkeye files grievance against the Vikings

After the Vikings waived Stanley on July 19th, the former Iowa quarterback filed an injury grievance against the Vikings.

The injury, as noted by the Pioneer Press’ Chris Tomasson, is nerve related with pain going down his leg. Now that the grievance has been filed, the Vikings will have $172,000 in cap space withheld until the grievance is settled.

If Stanley wins the grievance, he will be awarded the injury settlement he is claiming he should have received. What will be up to him is proving that his nerve issue is directly related to football.
