Former Texas A&M wide receiver and five-star recruit Chris Marshall transferred to Ole Miss and head coach Lane Kiffin on Christmas Day of last year, leaving the Aggies after one season due to multiple incidents paired with a lack of playing time.
After only four months with Ole Miss, Marshall has reportedly been dismissed from the program according to multiple sources that have confirmed the news.

During the hectic 2022 season, Marshall appeared in only 3 out of 12 games after a mid-year suspension, recording 11 receptions for 108 yards on the year. Coming in as the 25th-ranked player in the 2022 recruiting cycle, Marshall’s long, lean athletic build and impressive speed led to many scouts anointing him as a future first-round pick in the NFL Draft, but as we’ve seen time and time again, the transition from high school to college is much more difficult for some.
After the news dropped, Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin released a brief statement regarding Marshall’s dismissal.
“Chris Marshall has been dismissed from the Ole Miss football program for violation of team rules. We wish him good luck in his future plans.”
Clearly a sad development, we wish nothing but the best for Chris Marshall as he finds his way back to the field, and hopefully learns from these past indiscretions.
