Former Texas A&M, Ole Miss WR Chris Marshall has found a new home for the 2023 season

It has been reported that former Texas A&M and Ole Miss WR Chris Marshall has enrolled at Kilgore Junior College in East Texas

Former Texas A&M and Ole Miss wide receiver Chris Marshall’s football career looked like it was spiraling into the abyss after enduring multiple suspensions during the Aggies’ dreadful 2022 season, resulting in his transfer to Lane Kiffin’s Ole Miss Rebels on Christmas Day.

After just four months in Oxford (MS), Coleman’s brief appearance during the Rebels’ Spring Game was the last time he suited up in powder blue, as it was announced that he had reportedly been dismissed from the program according to multiple sources that have confirmed the news on Saturday, May 6.

Well, here’s some good news regarding Chris Marshall’s playing future as Dallas Cowboys Beat Writer Nick Harris took a short break from his daily Cowboys’ reporting to update all of us that Marshall has reportedly enrolled at Kilgore Junior College, located in East Texas for the 2023 season, officially taking the JUCO route to reshape his image, and hopefully gain another shot with an FBS program down the road.

After just one season with the Maroon and White, Marshall appeared in only 3 out of 12 games after a mid-year suspension, recording 11 receptions for 108 yards on the year.

Coming in as the 25th-ranked player in the 2022 recruiting cycle, Marshall’s long, lean athletic build and impressive speed led to many scouts anointing him as a future first-round pick in the NFL Draft, but as we’ve seen time and time again, the transition from high school to college is much more difficult for some.

Good luck with your new opportunity, Chris!
