Former NFL executive believes Bryce Young will be selected first overall

Bryce Young continues to draw Steph Curry comparisons from NFL draft experts

We are only a few weeks away from the 2023 NFL draft, but nobody knows what exactly the Carolina Panthers are going to do with the first overall pick. The Panthers are in the market for a quarterback so it is expected to be Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud or the Crimson Tide’s Bryce Young, but Anthony Richardson of Florida and Will Levis of Kentucky are also in contention.

Young is the Heisman Trophy winner of the group and played for a national title, but his 5-foot-10 frame has scared some executives in the draft process.

Former NFL executive Michael Lombardi appeared on the Pat McAfee show this week to discuss Young. Lombardi has been most impressed with the way Young sees the field and compares him to Steph Curry for the way he can facilitate an offense.

The height concerns will remain with Young, but Young has played NFL talent such as the 2021-2022 Georgia Bulldogs’ defense and they had difficulty stopping him.
