Former Clemson WR announces transfer destination

A former Clemson wide receiver is transferring to Notre Dame after spending three seasons as a Tiger.

Former Clemson wide receiver Beaux Collins has announced his transfer destination.

Collins has committed to Notre Dame with one year of eligibility remaining, he told On3 Sports on Sunday.

Collins entered the transfer portal on Nov. 30 after spending the last three seasons at Clemson. As a Tiger, he racked up a career 1,290 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns on 91 receptions. He had his best season this fall with a career-high 38 receptions and 510 yards.

“There’s no other program with the exposure and respect they have week in and week out,” Collins told On3’s Hayes Fawcett. “What also stood out to me was Coach Free (Freeman) and the respect that he already has throughout the program from the top down. Joining up with other ballers on the offense is going to be a sight to see in the near future.”

With the move, Notre Dame adds an experienced and experienced pass-catcher.
