Anyone who thinks the NBA’s main goal is something other than making money is probably going to be disappointed at some point in the not-too-distant future. But Boston Celtics Hall of Famer Paul Pierce had a shocking prediction for even those that frame of reference on a recent episode of the Showtime Basketball “KG Certified” podcast.

In conversation with his former Celtics teammate Kevin Garnett, Pierce discussed the possibility of the league selling seats on the bench with players during games. The Truth imagined fans being able to buy seats on the bench to watch the game up close alongside the players.

Pierce even humorously envisions fans being given plastic partitions to prevent interaction with players.
