Former Alabama safety Jared Mayden was signed to the Buffalo Bills active roster on Wednesday. The Bills signed Mayden off of the New York Jets practice squad.
Mayden entered the league in 2020 after being signed by the San Fransisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent. Since then, he has played for the Eagles, Bills, and Jets.
In his short tenure in the NFL, Mayden has played in six games and recorded seven tackles. It will be interesting to see if he has a role in the Bills’ defense. Sean McDermott’s squad is slated to make a deep run in the playoffs this season.
