Florida’s roster keeps on getting thinner for Wednesday’s Cotton Bowl matchup with Oklahoma.
The players missing on the offensive side of the ball has been well-documented in the lead up to the game, but it appears the Gators may be just as thin on defense as well. It is being reported that they will be without multiple key defenders including their leading tackler in linebacker Ventrell Miller.
Sources: Florida’s defense will be significantly shorthanded tonight against Oklahoma because of injuries and opt outs. Among those expected to miss the game are linebacker Ventrell Miller, the Gators' leading tackler, and DL starter Kyree Campbell.

An already struggling unit, the Florida defense is now even thinner which thus provides Lincoln Riley and the Sooners offense a fantastic opportunity to strike early and often to get their own defense a lead to work with.
It will be interesting to see just how many players the Gators will be without, but based off of the reports it seems to be certainly an impactful number. The Goodyear Cotton Bowl is set to kick off later this evening at 7:00 p.m. CT in Arlington.
